The third series of the British medical drama television series ''Casualty'' commenced airing in the United Kingdom on BBC One on 9 September 1988 and finished on 4 November 1988.〔(IMDB Casualty Series 3 )〕
Unlike the previous two series', Casualty's third came with a reduced episode count of just 10 altogether.

Continuing into Series 3 were consultant Ewart Plimmer (Bernard Gallagher), nurses Charlie Fairhead (Derek Thompson), Megan Roach (Brenda Fricker), Lisa "Duffy" Duffin (Cathy Shipton) and Cyril James (Eddie Nestor), paramedics Shirley Franklin (Ella Wilder) and Keith Cotterill (Geoffrey Leesley) and porter Kuba Trzcinski (Christopher Rozycki).
Joining the regular cast were administrator Valerie Sinclair (Susan Franklyn), senior house officer David Rowe (Paul Lacoux), student nurses Allison McGrellis (Julie Graham) and Kiran Joghill (Shaheen Khan) and receptionist Sadie Tomkins (Carol Leader).
